The map above, adapted from the 1999 plan, indicates both our requested camp location (yellow) and installation location (red). Obviously we do not intend to occupy the entire yellow area; It only represents the general region in which we wish to be placed. These regions were selected for several reasons. At times we will need a large amount of playa-estate for our domino topples, making a location deep on the open playa preferable to one in the crowded inner circle. Also we hope to impart people with a sense of discovery, of having found something unique, similar to the experience we had when we first "found" Piano Bell in 1996. Placing AD2K near the outer boundaries of Burning Man 2000 makes this possible.
Another consideration is the relative distance between our Theme Camp and the Installation. The closer our Theme Camp is to our designated installation area, the easier it will be for us to maintain the installation and attend to the activities that will be held there. An Esplanade placing in the region of 3:30 or earlier (by '99 coordinates) would be ideal.

To hold the giant domino games we will need approximately 100 x 80 square feet of space. This includes room for the boneyard (28 face-down dominoes), space for both teams to stand their dominos as they draw them, and a central area in which the dominoes are played, face-up. Also included are two elevated viewing chairs, each equipped with an umbrella for shade and a megaphone with which address your team members, deliver ex tempore political speeches and heckle the other team.

The focal point of AD2K, and the structure that our final topple will set aflame, the Domino Tower is approximately 30' tall. Illuminated from within at night, it is by far the heppest chill-out room on the outer playa.
